Environment
LGC provides
environmental consultancy and analysis in the areas of contaminated
land, asbestos, drinking water, waste management and
decontamination, building surveys and site investigations for
customers in the public and private sectors. LGC’s comprehensive
radiochemical analytical service uses traditional counting
techniques and methods such as ICP-MS for determining
actinides in environmental and food samples.
LGC is licensed by the Drinking Water
Inspectorate to perform analyses in support of approval for
products in contact with drinking water (Regulation 31 –
Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2001.
LGC’s staff also provide emergency analytical response
systems and associated consultancy and advice to public and private
organisations to ensure safety and security
