We partner TUV NEL in supporting the Technology Programme led by the Office of Science and Innovation in conjunction with the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), Defra and EPSRC .

We provide genetics specialists to the Human Genetics Commission secretariat on a part-time basis under the auspices of ( DIUS ).

We support the Defra LINK Programme for collaborative R&D, administering all funding contracts, offers and financial viability checks on behalf of Defra. We report on funded Biotechnology LINK projects for BERR.  We provide technical evaluation of proposals submitted for Grant for Research and Development (formerly SMART) awards for the Regional Development Agencies and Devolved Administrations, which support innovation in SMEs across the UK.

Technology Programme

TUV NEL and LGC have helped to develop the Technology Programme funding process from its inception to its current form.

The Technology Programme has two competitions for funding each year, with each round totalling on average £75m.

LGC and TUV NEL manage administrative processes from competition launch and applications, through to technical monitoring of funded projects to completion. LGC leads on key technology submissions under the advanced materials and bioscience themes.
