29-Aug-2006 - LGC announces new analytical quality training
programme for 2007
LGC has published its new 2007 calendar of courses, designed to
help laboratory managers and analysts keep abreast of quality
assurance issues and practices. Companies are facing
increasing demands to meet regulatory, trade and quality
requirements, resulting in a greater need to enhance skills in
method validation, measurement uncertainty and traceability of
results. Evidence of training and competence in these areas
is a requirement by the international standard ISO/IEC 17025, used
in the UK by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) as a
basis for laboratory accreditation
This year, to ensure that its training programme continues to
meet the evolving needs of the analytical community, LGC has added
a new course to its programme, ‘Implementing ISO/IEC 17025 in
testing laboratories’. The course is designed to help
laboratory and quality managers, as well as those in laboratories
seeking accreditation, to understand, interpret and meet the
technical requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. The course also
explains the business benefits of the accreditation standard and
helps laboratories to plan and achieve accreditation.
LGC’s training courses, which are held in Teddington, South West
London, vary in duration from one to three days and consist of both
lectures and workshop sessions. The full programme and registration
details can be found at the following link: http://www.lgc.co.uk/training.asp
