21-March-2006 - LGC-funded MSc programme in analytical chemistry - call for applicants

LGC, Europe´s leading independent provider of analytical and diagnostic services, is inviting applications for its MSc programme in analytical chemistry, that combines study with full-time permanent work

Dr Peter Lyne, Head of LGC´s Government Chemist Department and creator of the MSc course said: "This course has been developed as a result of a growing demand for LGC´s advanced analytical services. We are therefore looking for two outstanding individuals to undertake permanent positions within the company. Based at our laboratories in Teddington, Middlesex, the two successful candidates will earn a competitive salary whilst building valuable practical skills using LGC´s state-of-the-art analytical equipment, backed up with the full support of LGC."

Fully-funded by LGC, the MSc qualification, which is now in its second year, has been developed in conjunction with the Faculty of Science, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science at Kingston University.

Candidates should be graduates, with a good degree in physical or life sciences and ideally keen to develop a career as an analytical scientist. Excellent team working and communication skills are also vital. Applicants should send a copy of their CV to peter.lyne@lgc.co.uk by 31 May 2006. The programme will begin in September 2006.
