14-April 2010 – Molecular measurement conference, 24 June 2010

LGC organises conference on Accuracy in Molecular Measurement

LGC, in its capacity as the UK’s designated National Measurement Institute for chemical and biochemical measurement, is pleased to announce that a scientific conference on Accuracy in molecular measurement will be held in London on 24 June 2010.

This one-day conference will provide an opportunity for delegates to discuss the potential of the latest molecular measurement techniques, methods and reference systems, as well as the essential considerations needed to ensure confidence in nucleic acid quantification.

The conference will be held on 24 June 2010 at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms in London. Professor Stephen Bustin from Barts and the London school of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, will provide the keynote lecture on Improving the reliability of RT-qPCR. This will be followed with a series of lectures which will consider the analysis of nucleic acids and associated measurement standardisation.

In addition, an 'Ask the Experts Session' will give delegates an opportunity to question a panel of experts and the conference will culminate with a series of talks illustrating the potential of new developments in molecular techniques in real world applications.
