Vince Cable and David Willets launch
Government strategy to boost UK
growth
The strategy, launched by Business Secretary
Vince Cable and Minister for Universities and Science David
Willetts, sets out the Government’s plans to boost economic growth
through investment in research and innovation across the UK.
Under “Knowledge and Innovation” LGC is
highlighted as one of the UK’s private sector research and
technology organisations, conducting research and supporting its
commercialisation. Such organisations are an important ingredient
of the innovation ecosystem, recognised in the strategy as having a
key role to play in the growth of the UK’s knowledge economy.
