12-Aug-2009 – Better analysis – one giant leap toward REACH
compliance
In the final year’s run-up to the first REACH registration
deadline, come and find out how to comply effectively, at a free
half-day seminar at Hull University on 12 November 2009
The first REACH (Registration, Evaluation,
Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) registration deadline is November
2010. Designed to help chemical suppliers, regulators, scientific
service providers and users of chemistry to access and exploit the
analytical science needed to comply successfully with REACH, a free
seminar called ‘Better analysis: one giant leap toward REACH
compliance’ will be held on Thursday 12 November 2009.
Coordinated by the UK Government Chemist in partnership with
Humber Chemical Focus and
the University of Hull’s Environmental Technologies Centre of
Industrial Collaboration, the event is funded by the National Measurement Office.
The seminar, one of a series centred on key UK
chemical industry clusters, will cover: guidance on regulatory
requirements and how to comply effectively; scientific advice on
fit-for-purpose chemical analysis; industry perspective on making
the most of measurement data; and case studies on the role of
analytics in developing robust SIEFs and
dossiers.
The half-day event, which will be held on
Thursday 12 November at the University of Hull, will run from 9.30
am to 1.30 pm.
