operational efficiency
LGC is now offering the expert services of its Process and
Operational Efficiency Team to external customers
The skills of LGC’s Process and Operational
Efficiency Team (POET) in work flow analysis, LabSmart process
modelling and Lean process improvement have been widely applied
across all of LGC’s divisions both in the UK and internationally.
By continuously striving to improve laboratory and office processes
and remove costly ‘waste’ activities, this resource of Lean
practitioners has helped LGC remain competitive and agile in the
face of the economic downturn.
LGC is pleased to offer POET services
externally in order to provide customers with the opportunity to
benefit from the techniques that have had such a positive effect
in-house. The decision reflects the company’s recognition of the
importance of knowledge transfer and sharing of best practice in
Lean process improvement.
POET already has established links with
external partners including Syngenta, Boots and Oxford Catalysts,
who have benefited from POET’s process analysis and Lean coaching
services to improve the efficiency of their laboratory
operations.
