Overview
LGC’s Research & Technology Division
provides leading-edge analytical expertise and capabilities that
support measurement R&D work for Government and other public sector and commercial
organisations. The division is at the heart of LGC’s
R&D activities and supplies high quality and high value
services to the pharmaceutical sector.
The division houses LGC's role as the UK's
designated National Measurement Institute (NMI) for chemical and
biochemical analysis, leading improvements in the accuracy and
reliability of chemical and bio-measurements that are important to
the UK's industrial competitiveness and quality of life.
Our primary expertise lies in the application
of advanced tandem mass spectrometry, separation science and
analytical molecular biology to a broad
range of problems, in particular to the accurate quantification of
constituents at trace levels.
