Programme management
Customers
LGC carries out programme management on behalf of the external
organisations. LGC operates the Central Commissioning Facility
(CCF) for the National Institute for Health Research
(NIHR) under contract to the Department of Health (DH).
We partner TUV NEL in supporting the
Technology Programme led by the Office of Science and
Innovation in conjunction with the Technology Strategy
Board (TSB),
Defra
and EPSRC.
We provide genetics specialists to the Human Genetics Commission
secretariat on a part-time basis under the auspices of the
Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
We support the
Defra
LINK Programme for collaborative R&D, administering all funding
contracts, offers and financial viability checks on behalf of
Defra
.
Budget 2006-07: £34m. We report on funded Biotechnology LINK
projects for
BIS
.
We provide technical evaluation of proposals submitted for Grant
for Research and Development awards (formerly SMART) for the
Regional Development Agencies and Devolved Adminstrations, which
support innovation in
SMEs
across the UK.
