Health Sciences – Analytical services
LGC and HFL Sport Science have combined their expertise and
operations to focus on the food,
pharmaceutical, sport and consumer
product sectors and now operate as Health
Sciences.
Health Sciences provide analytical services to support
regulatory, surveillance, research, development, investigative, and
quality assurance and control activities.
Health Sciences undertakes technically challenging work to
screen and confirm trace components within complex samples.
Examples include drug and pesticide residues, additives, pharmaceutical contamination, compounds migrating from packaging and containment
devices, impurities and food contaminants and residues.
Health Sciences work with regulators throughout the world.
For example, we conduct analytical research projects on behalf of
the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and have over 45 years experience
in sports doping control within the framework of the World
Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and testing of food supplements for substances prohibited in sport.
