MTP sequencing

LGC Genomics offers MTP sequencing (also known as 96/384 well sequencing) as part of the DNA sequencing services provided by our specialist genomics business.

We provide this service based on any of the following starting materials:

Plasmids (bacterial colonies on agar or glycerol stocks) - LGC Genomics carries out overnight culture and plasmid prep
Plasmid DNA - isolated by customers
PCR fragments (including clean up by EXO/SAP if fragments aren’t already purified).

When we receive a sample, we check DNA quality and quantity using an agarose gel. Based on that analysis, we then determine the optimal DNA amount for sequencing reactions.

Prepaid MTP sequencing

LGC Genomics’ new service – Prepaid MTP sequencing is an additional service to our existing MTP sequencing service and is valid for 96-well plate sequencing.

What is new?

You can now order Prepaid MTP sequencing boxes (secure boxes labelled with a barcode) via our online ordering system
You can then 'cash-in' the plate back to
LGC Genomics for sequencing using the supplied Prepaid MTP sequencing box. The number of delivered boxes will correspond
with your online order
